WEDDING PART 2

(All Photos are by Jayne Hansen, and may not be used with out permission)

As previously described in “Wedding – Part 1”, our wedding-ceremony was just so beautiful, and something we will never forget. The tall trees surrounded us, and made the atmosphere very intimate and special.  After the ceremony we & our guests went back towards the castle. It was so beautiful how everyone was walking through the park after us – that same long way I just walked with my dad to the ceremony. Just the thought of it still gives me goosebumps.

After the ceremony the cake and champagne were ready for us at the castle. Music in the air, sunglasses, smiles and happy wishes were all around us. Incredible!  During the whole day I mentioned the weather a thousand times, followed with the phrase “we are so lucky!” And that’s not even true! We were beyond lucky.

After the delicious cake it was time to go shoot some pictures with our photographer Jayne Hansen. She was with us & our guests the whole day/evening, and did an amazing job!. We went into the more “wild” parts in the park, and the results are so fantastic from those 45 minuts we were out there. I actually cried the first couple of times I saw the pictures she sent us. She also did some group photo’s, which turned out perfect. I will share a little more of these in a different post.

Afterwards, the dinner slowly began in the tent. It totally lived up to all my expectations and dreams! The tents was see-through/clear, had the most beautifully decked tables and a fountain in the middle. It was everything I could have imagined or hoped for. I had bought the glass-candles hangning from the plant-decoration above the tables, and it looked SO good. Also, my dad had made some woodslices for the candles on the tables (he just had to cut down a tree in their garten – isn’t he just the best dad ever?! :) ). Everything just fitted in, and was the caption of beauty, calmness and nature – even though it was still pretty and poised. It was exactly in both our spirits.

The time came for the dinner to start, and with it began the toasts, speeches etc. . Everyone who had something to share, did it so brilliantly, beautifully and touching. It was with a great struggle the whole night, not to let my tears get the better of me. Also I kept thinking about my own speech, and it was nerve-wrecking. I had so much I wanted to say to Daniel, and so much to thank for and explain. I have never been good at public speaking, and I could really feel the pressure – but it was very important for me to do it. I knew I was number 5 of the toasts/speeches, and everyone before me did so amazingly. I really wanted to do just as good as they did!

.. Daniel.. He is the most amazing man on this planet to have ever existed. Not only did he give a great, beautiful speech – he afterwards got handed a guitar, and off he went with playing and singing one of our favorit songs. It’s easy to say it took all my strength not to cry uncontrollably. The surprise that he had practiced this behind my back, and that he did it so beautifully, took my breath away. Completely. I was so touched, right in the deepest parts of my heart. Cheesy, I KNOW – but it’s SO true. WOW is the only word describing the way I felt – and still feel. What a man <3

Yeah – and then it became my turn later.. With a shakiness in my voice, trembling hands and eyes filled with tears, I succeeded to make a speech I was very happy with ( :) !!) I took a few breaks when it got overwhelming, gave a toast and went on. I couldn’t have done it better and it’s nice being on the other side and know I didn’t have a mental breakdown ;) Daniel also seemed happy – and what more could I ask for .
As I said, everyone did some amazing speeches and both Daniel and I were (and still are)  so touched to see how many wanted to share some words on our day. Daniel’s Uncle and Cousin played ukulele and sang a beautiful song. What a dinner – and the food was good too, even though it wasn’t my focus at all. My eyes couldn’t get enough of Daniel, our beloved guests and the whole scenarie.

The band took off close to midnight, and then the DJ took over from there. The party started and the bar got opened. With drinks comes dancing, and high heels were exchanged or kicked out to the sides. Smiles were all around us. It was so great seeing everyone giving it all they had on the dance floor, and enjoying some drinks at the tables. Then before we knew it, the sun came up – but we kept going ;) It was the perfect ending on the perfect day.

I’m still pinching myself to see, if it really has happened. Did everything really go so well !?? We were lucky with EVERYTHING, and we couldn’t have dreamed of it being any better than it was. It will forever be the best and most beautiful day in our lives.
